A recap of Irish Breastfeeding Week

A recap of Irish Breastfeeding Week

A look back at National Breastfeeding Week

Massive thanks to Radio Kerry and Clare FM radio for having me on to talk about National Breastfeeding Week. It's amazing that regional radio recognises the importance of these conversations. On Clare FM I discussed the importance of this year's theme of Skin-to-Skin and the importance of this when it comes to establishing breastfeeding. On Radio Kerry I got to share the details of our breastfeeding guide and how partners can help when it comes to breastfeeding.

Thanks to Sam in Healthy Clare for the invite to their re-launch of "We're Breastfeeding Friendly Clare." It was lovely to meet Gobnait again, our community Lactation Consultant, who also helped me with feeding Aisling.
To Ruth @boobingit for sharing the stories, I write about breastfeeding. For National Breastfeeding Week I discussed the changes that are happening in Ireland around breastfeeding.
To Filomena Kaguako for recognising the importance of sharing home birth stories in Ireland.
In between, I was solo-parenting, battling a storm (only small damage to trampoline ), and managed to do the @babymarket_ireland in Limerick with the kids.
If you are thinking about breastfeeding or need support, see our free guide on the website under breastfeeding support.
