Baby Loss Awareness

Baby Loss Awareness

It was Baby Loss Awareness campaign last week and I didn’t speak about it at the time, basically because I have no experience of it, so therefore don’t feel qualified to speak on behalf of others.

I have a lot of close friends who have gone through a baby loss at different stages, and all I can comment on, is that it must be the most heart-breaking time for parents/couples. Whilst the focus is usually on the mother, predominately because it can be described as a miscarriage rather than a baby loss, it is important to remember the dads who have also lost a baby.

In light of Ireland going into a more severe lockdown since last Wednesday it is important to know what supports are out there, when you cannot visit friends and family.
